Hello, my name is Jaeie Kim, currently a senior at California High School.

My mom says I’ve been creating art ever since I learned how to hold a pencil, and it’s true. For over 15 years, I have studied at SpaceIn Art Studio and Joie’s Studio, learning 3D modeling and printing with Blender, 2D animation, sculpture, and, of course, the fundamentals of art. My favorite mediums are anything in pencil form, as they give me full control over each individual line. Though it may sound a little cliché, I find inspiration in what surrounds me: my friends, my family, and the people and ideas that force me to see things from a new perspective. The act of creating gives me an outlet for self-expression, allowing simple thoughts to transform into complex realities; I am so grateful for this passion.

In my free time, I enjoy singing, bonding with friends/people-watching, collecting LEGOs, playing daily NYC word games, and trying new things.
